At HelloSign, a big part of our mission is to make document workflows as frictionless as possible. As part of that that mission we’re very happy to announce two new native extensions with one of the world’s biggest file storage platforms, Dropbox.
The “HelloSign Dropbox Extension” and the “HelloFax Dropbox Extension” allow users to complete eSignature flows and send faxes end-to-end from the Dropbox web interface. No installation or activation steps are necessary to use these extensions in Dropbox, though users will need a HelloSign or HelloFax account which you can easily create the first time you launch a signing workflow from Dropbox.
We’re also so thrilled to be launching this initiative with Dropbox that for a limited time we’re offering three free months of a HelloSign Pro plan to every new HelloSign user who uses the HelloSign extension from Dropbox. HelloSign Pro users enjoy features such as unlimited monthly signature requests and access to a template for sending files repeatedly.
What to Expect With the New Extensions
‘Dropbox Extensions’ are a new integration capability that Dropbox recently made available to partners like HelloSign. As of today, you can access these extensions within your Dropbox account. Sending a file for eSignature or faxing is allowed for PDF, DOC, and DOCX type files.
When signing documents, users will be taken to HelloSign’s website where they'll have the option to login or create a new account. Once logged in, users will have all the functionality of HelloSign right at their fingertips; they can format documents, assign signers, and send documents for signature.
After a document is sent, users will be given a link to return to Dropbox and the document will automatically sync to Dropbox at various stages of the signature process, including of course the final signed document at the end.
Faxing with the HelloFax Dropbox Extension will be a similar experience, but users will instead be taken to HelloFax where they can take advantage of 5 free fax pages (for new accounts) or sign up for a paid plan. Finished faxes will also sync back to Dropbox.
One Step Closer to Totally Seamless Workflows
It’s very exciting to be deepening our relationship with a company like Dropbox as we feel we have a lot of mutual goals to help simplify work for people around the world. In the future, we look forward to even more improvements to this flow as they become available on the Dropbox platform.
We hope you enjoy this latest offering and keep an eye on our blog for more exciting announcements to come!
